Colorado music lovers may recognize Aidan Grapengeter's emotionally powerful vocals from pop-punk band Postcards' newest release, My Departure, but this time around, the singer/songwriter has swapped catchy, high energy hooks and catchy choruses for a more stripped down and intimate sound with his new project, Little Car. Better Now, the new release from the solo project finds Grapengeter bearing his soul once more, but on a surprisingly uplifting acoustic release. From the optimistic opening track, "Saturday on Monday," to the more somber sounding, "Young to Old," and heartbreakingly beautiful closer, "Or London," the emotion on this release is palpable, and although only one song on the album clocks in at over three minutes in length, the result is a fleeting, yet incredible beautiful release.
On Better Now, Grapengeter said, "I wrote these songs almost 2 years ago, but some of them still feel fresh like I wrote them yesterday."
Little Car doesn't currently have any performances planned, but with a few shows under his belt, the future looks bright. Fans can stream Better Now below, and purchase it at a name your own price on Bandcamp or any of the following online retailers:
