The Boxer Rebellion Release New Music Video For "Weapon"

London quartet The Boxer Rebellion have revealed the music video for their single ‘Weapon’, the opening song from Ocean By Ocean, which is out now via Absentee Recordings/Kobalt (available on iTunes). The new video cleverly follows on from the album’s first single, ‘Big Ideas’, which was based within a sleazy grime story & sin city darkness.

Both videos were masterminded by director/animator Adam Avilla in Hollywood earlier this year. Avila commented: "I wanted to create a visual dance between the two characters who are both each other's salvation as well as each other's demise. The song and story lent itself to the classic archetypes of the grizzled detective and the femme fatale; both strong but troubled characters who carry a cloud of doom about them.”

The band added: "We recorded much of the album in Los Angeles and wanted to preserve some of that atmosphere in the album artwork and the video story that links ‘Big Ideas’ to ‘Weapon’. Adam Avilla's vision captures not only the SoCal feeling but also addresses the noir-esque aspects of the songs themselves.”
