The Avett Brothers Release Video For "Ain't No Man"

Today, The Avett Brothers premiered their brand new music video for their hit single “Ain’t No Man” off of their upcoming album True Sadness (out June 24th on America/Republic Records). The video features Scott Avett as he makes his way through the Asheville Regional Airport on his way to join his brother and the rest of the band on the road. Check out the video below!

As Scott boards the plane you see a cameo by none other than NASCAR’s own Jimmie Johnson who takes on the role of airplane pilot for the band’s flight.

On being a part of the video Jimmie Johnson said: I’ve been friends with the guys for a few years now and thought it was really cool of them to ask me. I don’t think I’ve actually ‘acted’ in a music video before, so growing up in the MTV and VH1 era it’s definitely something I’ve had on my bucket list. Hopefully all of the time I spend behind the wheel of my race car translates into me being a believable pilot. It was such a neat experience and I had a blast just hanging out with Scott and Seth and the band that afternoon; it was just a lot of fun.  Hopefully all of our fans get a kick out of it and enjoy it as much as I did.

Scott Avett who directed the video and shot most of the scenes in Asheville & Charlotte, North Carolina noted:  “The video for "Ain't No Man" is about a character who is dealing with fear and his journey to do what he was born to do.

“Ain’t No Man” is the first single off of True Sadness out June 24th. Pre-order the album here!
