Jeffrey Foucault has announced a string of tour dates this spring. The tour starts March 30th in Cedar Rapids, and most dates pair him with former Morphine drummer and tour partner Billy Conway. The Luther Perkins to his Johnny Cash, Conway is a truly sympathetic collaborator to both frame and fire Foucault’s terse brand of minimalist Americana. Select dates will feature some incarnation of the album band which includes Conway, legendary electric guitar player Bo Ramsey (Lucinda Williams, Greg Brown), Eric Heywood (Ray Lamontange’s Pariah Dogs, Tift Merritt, The Pretenders) on pedal steel and guitars and bassist Jeremy Moses Curtis (Booker T, Cold Satellite).
All tour dates are listed below.
The New York Times calls Jeffrey Foucault’s recent album, Salt As Wolves, “immaculately tailored” and theBoston Globe says it’s a “marvelous record.” NPR’s Morning Edition calls Foucault, “pure songwriter” and notices he “finds beauty in small towns and simple truths.” Salt As Wolves debuted at #1 on the iTunes Blues Charts and peaked at #4 on the Billboard Blues Charts and is currently in rotation on SiriusXM’s Bluesville, Outlaw Country, and The Loft channels.
