Denver, Colorado’s pop/rock outfit, One Flew West puts more than just synchronized words on the screen with their newest lyric video for “These Old Bones”. Not really just a lyric video, it features flawlessly timed shots of the song’s lyrics as they are typed out by songwriter and band front-man Linden Jackson’s own fingers. Keeping it in the family, the idea was spawned and spearheaded by the band’s lead guitarist, David DiSalvo, who got his hands on a 1960’s era typewriter and had an epiphany. The aesthetic is perfectly set in the basement of one of the coolest new bars/coffee houses in Denver, Bellwether Club. Shot and edited by Boulder, Colorado’s Lucas Flores, this breathtakingly beautiful adaptation of a song about life’s wear and tear is one for the ages.

This is One Flew West’s second video release this year, following their quirky production for “Had It All”. Having sold out the Marquis Theater, and holding the title of Westword’s Best Folk Band from 2015 (along with a nomination in the Pop category this year) the guys show no signs of slowing down. With new material and a summer tour in the works for 2016, this looks like the year of One Flew West.
