DARK SERMON have debuted an all new single titled “Rat King” today exclusively via Metalsucks. “It discusses how misguided, filthy, backwards, and wholly underdeveloped the kingdom of man is currently, especially when compared to its true potential,” says frontman Johnny Crowder. “As a species, humans have a lot of work to do in order to grow and ascend.”

The band has also revealed the album artwork from their forthcoming LP The Oracle (seen below), created by artist Shaun Beaudry of Mister Beaudry Illustration. Crowder continues, “The album art portrays the Divine Feminine in her human form. She speaks with the stars and sacrifices herself in martyrdom, understanding that blood is the only channel the children of Earth are willing to comprehend.”
Dark Sermon will release The Oracle on August 21, 2015 via eOne Music / Good Fight Music. The all new effort will be the highly anticipated follow up to the band’s label debut In Tongues, released in 2013. “Rat King” will be offered as an instant gratification track via iTunes allowing anyone who pre orders The Oracle an instant download of the single.
The band recently wrapped up a successful U.S. / Canadian tour with ABORTED and label-mates FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY and plan to announce new tour dates very soon.
