Columbia, South Carolina’s indie electro-pop outfit Death of Paris has announced a summer headlining tour hitting the east coast. The tour will take place from July 18th – 31st from South Carolina up to New York. To celebrate their tour, Death of Paris plans to release another quirky video for their song “Give + Take,” the second off their sophomore EP GOSSIP. Earlier this year, the band released their DIY music video for their hit single, “Shut Up and Kiss Me” which was coined by The Ruckus as “adorable, ultra-fun, and dazzlingly colorful, destined to make [this song] the ultimate summer anthem.” Here is what frontwoman Jayna Doyle had to say about the videos and plans ahead:
“We love shooting music videos! Before starting the band, I went to school for film and the dream then was to do music videos for a living. We didn’t really have a strategic reason in wanting to put out a video for every song on the EP, we just thought, these are all songs we’ve been playing out for a while, and we want everyone [to] visually interpret them in the way that they’re intentionally written. We thought it would add more depth to the EP if you can see how the songs’ stories play out as separate chapters in a larger picture.” – Jayna Doyle
Hailing from Columbia, SC, Death of Paris consists of Jayna Doyle (vocals), Blake Arambula (synth/guitar/programming), Patrick Beardsley (guitar), and John Gornati (drums). Together, the band creates unapologetic pop rock that breaks all the rules. The band’s breakthrough EP Gossip was produced by Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (Mayday Parade, All Time Low, We Are The In Crowd) in Atlanta, GA.
