“I can speak for everyone when I say we're very pleased to be working with No Sleep Records,” says vocalist/guitarist Cameron Moretti. “We've always enjoyed their work efforts with the artists they release. Feels like a good home for us."
No Sleep Records’ president Chris Hansen shared the mutual admiration adding, “‘We fell in love with Foreign Tongues after their recent Split we put out with The Felix Culpa, and we could not be more amped to work with them in 2015 and beyond. Big things to come for these guys.”
The band is currently making noise at Getaway Recording’s studio in Boston with Defeater guitarist and producer Jay Maas, whose credits include Polar Bear Club, Title Fight and Bane.
“We have never released anything in our musical discography aside from EP's / Singles / and Splits, and although it is seemingly cliché to say that our newest material is "different" than our prior work we feel very confident in effort we have put into getting the songs to where they are now,” says Moretti. “We approached the writing process at a newer angle than our past material and couldn't be more ecstatic to share these songs with the world. Musically and lyrically it is the most personal collaborations we have came up with since our bands existence and only hope others can feel that way."
Foreign Tongues was formed in late 2011 by Moretti and James Scuderi (guitar) who eventually added members Al Drivas (guitar), Andy Tamulonis (bass) and Joey Barthelette (drums) to round out their current lineup. The band has released a handful of critically acclaimed EPs over the last few years, including 2013’s Glue (Youth Conspiracy) and their 2014 No Sleep debut split with The Felix Culpa.
