After a highly successfully 2014 that saw the band successfully complete two tours, be featured on AbsolutePunk, get signed to Imminence Records, and release a 7” on vinyl label Giant MKT, Backslashes And Bad Ideas once again partners up with AbsolutePunk to exclusively premiere the band’s first music video. The video, which may be viewed HERE, is for the band’s “Sad Is The New Black” of their 7”. The premiere comes one day before the band sets out on their “99 Problems But This Tour Aint One” tour that is sponsored by Kiss The Concrete Co and begins in Stroudsburg, PA. The tour will hit key dates in Baltimore, Lansing, and Chicago before ending January 25th in Pittsburgh, PA.
Vocalist Nick DePalo had this to say on the tour, “We are eager to get back on the road and share our music in cities we haven’t yet played. We look forward to seeing a lot of new faces as well as familiar friends along the way. Throughout the past year we’ve been honing our new material and bringing more elements into our live performances through each show we play. We’re very excited to show everyone what we’ve been working on.” The tour will be supporting 2013’s There Is No Place Like Home, which spawned the single “Defend Josh’s Life Choices” featuring Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday, The Color Fred, Terrible Things), and 2014’s Sad Is The New Black 7” while the band writes new material for their 2015 full length. The full length will be their fourth new release in as many years for the workhorse band.
