"The idea for the EP kind of started as a joke,” says Dan Rose. “We realized that there were a lot of good songs called "Wish You Were Here" and joked around about doing a cover album of only songs with that title.  Eventually we joked around about it enough that we just said fuck it and did it live in two days with Ben Hirschfield at Nu-Tone Studios in Pittsburg, CA.  My only regret is not including the smash hit from Incubus on the record.  Maybe that's for Volume 2."

Wish You Were Here is Elder Brother’s follow-up to their debut record, Heavy Head, which was released in early 2014. The band is a collaboration between fellow musicians and labelmates Dan Rose of Daybreaker and Kevin Geyer of The Story So Far.
