“The video for “Progress” was recorded by our friend Tony West in the woods of Forest Park in Portland Oregon, and in our garage (we all live together), also in Portland, Oregon,” explains Lee Ellis. “We got a bunch of our friends to go and act like they liked our band (jk but seriously) if we gave them free beer and stuff, so it was really more of a party than a video shoot. We had to carry all of the props into the woods, including the generator which was like 2 million pounds. It made it worthwhile though in the end, and we really feel like we accomplished something. Our goal was to have it appear like some cheesy summer camp slasher flick. We covered ourselves in fake blood and choked on fake blood capsules (Dan can be seen choking in the outtakes of the video.) It was pretty gnarly. We’re extremely excited about it.”
