Two weeks after their album announcement, My Iron Lung has premiered their first new song, “Commonwealth,” in the form of an intense, strobing new video at BrooklynVegan.com. The track is featured on the band’s forthcoming, debut full-length album, Relief, which will be released on July 8th via Pure Noise Records. Fans can pre-order the record now at purenoise.merchnow.com.
“Commonwealth” was one of the first songs we wrote for the record,” says Matthew Fitzpatrick. “We were all excited to be writing new material and the song really just fell in place. We were lucky enough to work with our friends Matt and Charles Vincent from the American Scene who did an awesome job.”
The American Scene’s Vincent brothers shot and directed the video in the East Bay area. The track can be found on the band’s first, full-length record which is due in July and features an impressive concoction of indie infused hardcore.
