Alt-pop newcomers VYNYL are making waves with their own dreamy, synth driven sound and setting themselves apart from the Engage's lineup that is carried heavily by pop-punk and alt-rock bands. With a timeless groove that will certainly get stuck in your head after your first listen, VYNYL is the perfect band to kick off the day on the Prelude Press stage!

The Real Me
Denver acoustic duo, The Real Me only made their debut early this year with their first single, “Thief,” but since then have released their first EP, dropped a music video for “The Direction” and had their music featured on 93.3. Like VYNYL, The Real Me will give concert-goers a fresh sound early on in the day and will leave listeners humming along long after their set ends.

This dynamic alternative rock band will bring a welcome sense of theatricality to Engage with haunting yet soaring vocals, thoughtful guitar work and a rhythm section that’ll have you moving in no time. Situated alongside two pop-punk acts, The Hollow will certainly stand out and shake things up, and that’s exactly what you’ll need during this long, all-day event!
Compliments to the One

Denver alt/rock band, Compliments to the One will be opening up The Hope Saves Stages at the inaugural Engage Music Festival with their signature easy-going melodic sound. Carried by soulful vocals and a smooth blend of stunning keys and guitar, these guys will be the perfect band to kick off the day’s festivities
Only a little over a year old, guitar driven grit-rock band, CITRA are another new group to keep your eye on. These guys have also been making waves locally thanks to their incredibly unique sound and high energy live performances. The band has been busy all summer with shows in and out of state, and with their new single “Air” out now, it’s likely that we’ll be hearing more from them before the year is up.

this broken beat
Denver indie-pop duo, this broken beat have been keeping themselves busy this summer as well. Back in May, they released the stunning music video for their catchy single, “Sleep” and just last week dropped their emotional new song, “Out In The Deep End.” Their smooth sound is best described as the perfect thing to listen to on lazy Sunday mornings or while driving around in the mountains - but don’t just take my word for it. Listen to “Out In The Deep End” below!

Denver hip-hop artist Dallas Garcia is sure to bring a welcome change of pace with his own unique sound and smooth flow, especially in between this broken beat and Rumours Follow. And speaking of this broken beat, Dallas Garcia just recently released a music video for his song, “Chalked Up” which features the duo. We’re hoping to see a sweet live collaboration at the show!

Denver alternative/pop project Valienta has seen a few changes lately, both with a sonic shift when the group transitioned from Racing On The Sun to Valienta last year and more recently with the departure of guitarist Oscar Solis and drummer Bryan Cahill. Although we aren’t sure what’s next in Valienta’s future, for frontman (and now solo artist) Alfonso Cervantes, things are looking pretty bright. We’re excited to see what this upcoming show holds and hope that you are as well.

One Flew West
Folk-influenced rock band One Flew West have been gaining quite a bit of momentum since their formation back in 2014. Since then, the band has played 93.3’s Kegs & Eggs and Big Gig and performed alongside countless artists such as The Spill Canvas, 3OH!3, The Unlikely Candidates, Brick + Mortar and many more. Recently, they released their two song EP, All In My Head/Ten Years Later, which can be heard below. With plans to release another new EP soon, we’ll most likely be hearing a lot more from them before the year comes to an end!

Alternative pop band AMZY is easily one of the most buzzed about bands in Denver, and with their synth driven new EP, Worlds of Our Own, they’re really taking things to the next level. The band performs late, but they’re well worth the wait and will keep energy high until the night finally comes to an end!
